Editorial policy

Focus and Scope
Ecocience International Journal is an international journal, open access and peer review. It is aimed at researchers, scholars, and professionals who question the interaction between nature and society from an ecological, political, economic, cultural and sustainable social development perspective. Ecocience International Journal aims to publish previously unpublished texts of theoretical and applied research related to the natural, social and humanities sciences.

Peer Review Process

1. Ecocience International Journal publishes rigorous theoretical and empirical research academic papers in the fields of natural sciences, social sciences and humanities that reflect on the interaction between nature and society.
2. The errors of format and presentation, the non-compliance with the rules of the journal or the orthographic and syntactic incorrectness may be grounds for rejection of the work without passing it to the peer review stage.
3. The evaluation will be in pairs and by the double-blind method. All the works sent to Ecocience International Journal will be evaluated according to criteria of strict scientific quality.
4. Once a text has been received that complies with all the formal requirements, it will be acknowledged and the evaluation process will begin.
5. In the first phase, the editors will carry out a general review of the quality and thematic adaptation of the work, being able to directly reject without external evaluation those works whose quality is ostensibly low or which do not make any contribution to the thematic areas of Journal.
6. The manuscripts that exceed this first filter will be sent to two external evaluators, specialists in the matter or line of investigation in question. If the evaluations are discrepant, or that for any other reason it deems necessary, the editors / as may send the text to a third evaluator / a. The authors are asked to propose two prestigious researchers as possible evaluators.
7. Given the reports of the evaluators, the editors can take one of the following decisions, which will be communicated to the author:

Ecocience
 International Journal is edited by the CIFE University Center (www.cife.edu.mx). Ecocience International Journal is a biannual edition magazine (January-June and July-December); the magazine will be published during the first two weeks of January and July. However, the numbers may be adjusted before this date when there is a minimum number of 4 articles or by the decision of the Editorial Committee. The articles are published as they are approved during the semester, with the DOI: final.

Open Access Policy
Ecocience International Journal is a non-profit magazine, edited by the CIFE University Center. We provide free access to all our numbers. Consequently, the articles we publish are available for free and public on the Internet, allowing any user to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search or quote the full texts of the articles published.

Declaration of originality and copyright 
All authors must submit, when submitting an article on the platform, a letter stating:

1. The article is original.

2. The article is not under review, evaluation or publication in another journal.

3. The rights of publication to the journal are transferred.

Articles published in the journal can be shared in other media, as long as the source is cited.

Benefits to the authors.
The authors who publish their articles in Ecocience International Journal can have additional benefits.

1) Socialization of the publication in academic and research networking to increase the number of citations. This makes it possible that the author may raise leadership and began to be recognized for its work.

2) The articles will be incorporated into the basic and complementary bibliography of master and doctoral study programs.

3) The authors could be nominated for national or international research projects.

4) Be invited to assist in the preparation of research projects and deliver lectures on topical issues, provide training in connection with their research.
